GfsVariableDistance creates a new variable containing the signed distance (i.e. a "levelset" function) to a VOF-reconstructed interface.

The syntax in parameter files is:

[ GfsVariable ] T { stencil = 0 }

where T is the name of a GfsVariableTracerVOF variable and the following parameter block is optional.

If stencil is set to 1, the variable is only defined in a band around the interface wide enough to be able to compute the interfacial curvature from the distance function (e.g. using GfsVariableCurvature). Note that depending on the way the mesh is adapted to the interface, this option may reduce or increase the computing time.
